2008 schedule released
Farmers begin year Aug. 29 at Winnsboro
Farmersville will enter the season as a member of District 13-3A. They will face cross-lake rival Princeton, Community, Emory Rains and Quinlan Ford. The newcomer to varsity play is first-year program Lucas Lovejoy. The only other team to make the playoffs in ‘07 was Emory Rains (10-3A).
They open the 2008 campaign Aug. 29 at Winnsboro return home Sept. 5 against Prosper.
They take to the road to battle Wills Points (Sept. 12), return home against Van Alstyne (Sept. 19) for homecoming and wrap up the non-district play Sept. 26 at Pottsboro.
Following an off week the Farmers open 13-3A action Oct. 10 at Lucas Lovejoy.
The remaining games on the schedule are as follows: Emory Rains (Oct. 17), at Community (Oct. 24) and Quinlan Ford (Oct. 31) and the season finale Nov. 7 at home versus cross-lake rival Princeton. All games start at 7:30 p.m.
There will also be two scrimmages ar Canton (Aug. 16) and at Palmer on Aug. 22.
