North Texans Confess Bad Water Habits on Graffiti Fence at Farmers and Fleas Market

The North Texas Municipal Water District’s Water IQ outreach tour will visit Farmersville to show consumers how to kick their bad water-use habits and stop wasting water. The tour coincides with North Texas Municipal Water District’s new TV spot, featuring a family with some seriously funny bad habits (watering and otherwise). Event visitors will be encouraged to write their wasteful water-use habits on a special Water IQ graffiti fence that surrounds what looks like a typical backyard complete with patio furniture. Event visitors also will have an opportunity to pledge to eliminate their bad water-use habits, thereby filling a giant water gauge that represents how many gallons North Texans have pledged to save. Event visitors who take the pledge will be eligible to win a Water IQ Bad Habits Makeover Kit, valued at $400. The kit contains items to help consumers change their wasteful water-use habits and save water in and around their homes, including soaker hoses, low-flow shower heads, toilet repair kits, and water-wise plants. In addition, event visitors can test their water knowledge by participating in a Water IQ game and can win a reusable Water IQ bottle.
