Funeral services for Dorothy Faye Foster, 86, of McKinney was held May 13, 2010, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel followed by interment at Ridgeview Memorial Park,  in Allen.

 

The Rev. Woody Wilson officiated.

 

Mrs. Foster died May 10. 

 

She was born Feb. 7, 1924, in Kinser to Walter R. Davenport and Margaret Jeffcoat Davenport. 

 

She married Paul Foster Aug. 1, 1939, in Farmersville.

 

Mrs. Foster graduated from Copeville High School where she played basketball and was a member of the Eastern Star. 

She worked for 20 years at the Cotton Mill in McKinney. She also worked for Texas Instruments/Raytheon where she retired. 

Mrs. Foster was also a member of Waddill Street Baptist Church.

 

 She is survived by her husband, Paul Foster of McKinney; sons, Frank Foster and wife, Margaret of Possum Kingdom Lake, Ronnie D. Foster and wife, Trina of McKinney; daughter, Paulette Maffioli of McKinney; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Jan Umphrey of Denison and numerous other relatives and friends.

 

Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Margaret Davenport; sons, Donnie Joe Foster and John Paul Foster; grandson, Paul Eugene Foster and 11 brothers and sisters.
