In Farmersville, the Farmersville Resale Shop has become synonymous with charity, good will and great bargains.

The store will celebrate its one year anniversary Aug. 26, though the establishment already seems like it has been a fixture in the community for much longer. 

A program of Allen Community Outreach, the resale shop sells donated items at discounted prices in order to raise funds for programs benefitting the residents of Farmersville. 

During its first year,  the Farmersville Resale Shop began giving away clothing to Farmersville families in need.  

Every Tuesday a caseworker is at the store to screen individuals and offer them clothing vouchers. 

 Beginning in September, ACO will also begin a GED program to allow individuals in this community an opportunity to better themselves and not have to drive out of the area.

 As the Allen Resale Shop has done in that community for seventeen years, this store also serves as an outreach to other organizations.  Churches, civic groups, or schools that are in need of sporting equipment, props, decorations, etc. should always consider the Resale Shop as a partner in their endeavors.  

All donations receive a tax-deductible receipt and shopping dollars stay in this community.  Large furniture donations can be picked up by one of our trucks by calling 972-727-4751 to schedule an appointment. 

 As a non-profit (charity) organization, the shop also welcomes volunteers.  Individuals interested in volunteering for school, court appointed or “just because” can contact the Volunteer Director at 972-727-9131 for more information.
