The Farmersville City Council voted tonight to immediately relieve City Manager John Moran of his duties and name Public Works Director Ben White as his interim replacement.

Council will be required to pay Moran a nine-month severance package and continue his health insurance coverage for a year. Moran had been city manager since September 2009.
