People looking to sell their spring-cleaning wares can do so this weekend at the annual Farmersville Chamber of Commerce’s Yards and Yards of Yard Sales.

It will be held from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, June 5, in conjunction with the monthly Farmers and Fleas.

There are currently more than 40 houses registered for this year’s event, according to Chamber Office Manager Cynthia Craddock-Clark.

“Last year more than 30 houses participated, and everyone seemed to have a great time,” she said.

The event will be held throughout town and features many yard sales on a single map.

Though the deadline to be included on this year’s map was June 1, people can still participate by getting a red “registered” sign to place in their yard.

The charge this year to be included on the map was $10, which is used by the chamber to pay for advertising in surrounding publications.

The map is distributed downtown at several different merchants, Quik Check, Dairy Queen, Feagin’s, Farmers and Fleas and the chamber office.

The monthly Farmers and Fleas Market, where plenty of finds will be available, will also be held Saturday, June 5.

For more information, contact Cynthia at the chamber office - 972-782-6533, by fax at 972-782-6603 or by e-mail at c.clark@ci.farmersville.tx.us.
