Cole Blakemore and Dillon Burditt, Farmersville High School juniors have been selected to represent Farmersville Rotary District 5810 at Camp RYLA which will held in Midlothian, June 5 through 10.
Cole has been active in the Farmersville band since sixth grade and has been in the marching and jazz band for the past three years. He has been part of the Honors English Program since his freshman year. His outside hobbies and interests are Civil Air Patrol in which he earned the rank of staff sergeant in his third year and he also graduated from the Texas Wing Glider Academy.
He is the son of Brad and Tammy Blakemore.
Dillon is active in FFA and earned a $3,000 scholarship from the Fort Worth Stock Show Calf Scramble. He is a member of the National Honor Society and has a current grade point average of 4.12. His outside interests and hobbies include being involved with 4-H for the past seven years and assisting in child development at New Life Family Fellowship Church.
Dillon is the son of Tina and Bill Murray.
Camp RYLA is a six day leadership training camp that focuses on personal and professional development of high school students. At Camp RYLA the students will have the opportunity to be exposed to many facets of leadership.
When they return from their Camp RYLA experience, they will have the opportunity to share their experience with the Farmersville Rotary Club at a later date.
