PRINCETON – Farmersville (7-3, 5-0) completed its undefeated run through District 13-3A last Friday with a 43-0 victory over Princeton (3-7, 1-4) in the yearly cross-lake showdown at Jakie Hendricks Stadium.
The Farmers were led by Chase Wiggins, who rushed for 62 yards and three touchdowns of 4, 6, and 28 yards. In addition to a 45-yard punt return for the score.
Austin Brooks added 134 yards and a 20-yard scoring scamper.
Collecting the other touchdown was Morgan Harbison from 16 yards out.
Overall, they had 389 yards, of which 344 came off running game on 17 first downs.
The defense limited the Panthers to 147 total yards (-19 rushing and 166 passing) on six first downs.
Farmersville opens the Class 3A Div. II Region II bi-district round at 7:30 p.m. Friday versus 14-3A’s No. 3 Eustace (4-6 overall) at Mesquite’s Hanby Stadium.
Eustace fell 40-7 to No. 2 Van in the district and season finale.
